Break from studying

Pulling an all-nighter to study for my midterm tomorrow!! Super tired, but I'm pulling through with some Full Throttle at hand. Why do I procrastinate so much? I'm always waiting for the night before to do some major studying! Oh well!
Wish me luck ~
PS. House is amazing. I love that show so much. I especially loved the last scene of the episode. Gregory House, abrasive and misanthropic on the outside, vulnerable and needy on the inside. He fears change. Because if everyone moves on, finds happiness, he's left alone, more miserable than ever. Hugh is effing brilliant.
House: "If you're happy, I'm ... "

Prop 4 & 8
Okay, I am very frustrated right now after engaging in a very long political debate with someone.
For me, as a woman, the abortion issue is something I feel VERY strongly about. To deny a woman's right to choice is essentially a reversal of over 50 yrs of women rights. Because when it really comes down to it, I am defined by my sexuality first and foremost. When people first see me, the first judgment they make is that I am a female. Second, I am a minority.
So as a woman, for a man or government to tell me what I cannot do this with MY body is a complete insult and slap in the face.
I know, from birth, I already face obstacles males do not.
No one is for abortion. It is not an easy choice, but it is a woman's choice, regardless or whether anyone feels it is right or wrong.
Prop 8 is another issue, but I am too tired and drained right now to discuss it. -_-
It just infuriates me by how America deems itself the land of freedom, a place for opportunity and equality for all, a progressive, modern society. But yet, we are so far from that truth people. We have never had a woman president like many other leading industrial nations. We are the only industrial democracy without some form of gov. guaranteed universal health care (not that I am necessarily for it). But European democracies have had it since the late 19th century, yet we now in the 21st c is still fighting back and forth over it. blah blah blah etc etc etc.
And to top it all off, our economy sucks, Dow Jones just dropped another 900 points, unemployment is expected to go up 1.5% by just the end of the year, we are in a disaster war, we are a laughingstock to the rest of the world, and we've got McCain and Palin running on a joke platform- and to think people will be voting for them!!

Bored
I'm tired. And I'm bored, which is why I am writing this useless post. I have nothing I feel like writing at this time. Just sitting in my dorm. No new House-related news or spoilers. It's a school night and I am tired/bored/slightly hungry. Nothing exciting.
But I realize, I can't just write about the high's and low's of life. No. That would be deceiving-- deceiving to myself and my loyal audience. You may be surprised, but there are actually moments of mundaness and idleness in my life. Therefore, I will not pretend my life is nothing but non-stop action adventures and dramatic occurrences. No Siree.
Best,
Annika Lee
PS On my way to school, I tried to cross the street at the last second. Midway, my papers flew out of my binder. I scurried to pick them up while blocking traffic and as onlookers from both sides of the road watched me in all my glory.

midterms
I haven't posted in a while, because I've been deep in the midst of midterms. This week I had two: Math and Physics. I had my physics one on Thursday and I stayed up till 4 am studying and got up at 7 am. So I was basically functioning on 3 hrs of sleeping for that test, but it was worth it because I think I did very well. It was essay and MC.
I have an Econ one on Monday, which I'm nervous about. Econ is definately my toughest course, and its really competitive. It's curved by section at 25% As so only about 6 people will get As and I feel everyone in that class is a genius. Especially this one indian guy who always sits in the front and talks a thousand words a minute in a thick indian accent and blurts out every single answer before I even have time to think about the question. No not mohit. HAH!
Overall, berkeley isn't that difficult, its just super competitive. A's are scarce. Sometimes, I'll be sitting in my Econ discussion section and I'll feel like I'm suffocating from the competitive atmosphere. hahaha But hey, I can't complain, its not like I'm pre-med or an engineer, or pre-business...o wait, I am pre-biz NNOOOO !!! lol Can't wait the MacDaddy UGBA 10 (undergrad biz admin 10) next semester.
Lighter news, last nite I went to SF with my Christian friends haha. We went to Giradelli Square. It was amazing. I had a hot fudge sundae and it was heavenly...no pun intended haha
The other people had an ice cream eating contest....that was pretty intense i must say. Then we went to Treasure Island. Oh, it rained for the first time that nite!
PS. No really cute asian boys at Cal... not that I'm looking. But, it would be nice to see some eye candy every once and a while.
